Poultry Expo 2020 stands cancelled

Executive Advisory Committee (EAC) and Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA) have announced cancellation of the internationally acclaimed 14th Poultry Expo and Knowledge Day 2020 in Hyderabad due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

South Asia’s biggest poultry event which attracts nearly 350 major global companies and nearly 35,000 visitors and delegates was to be held on Nov 24-27 2020. It will now be held on November 23 to 26, 2021, at the same venue HITEX Exhibition Centre, Izzat Nagar, Hyderabad. 23rd November is Knowledge Day and 24-25-26 are exhibition dates.

Taking into consideration social distancing norms, financial losses by every member of the poultry fraternity — losses that began to mount even before the national lockdown in March — and briefly analysing the time frame it will take the sector to get back on even keel, the organisers have taken the decision to cancel the 2020 event the space booked (if any) for the cancelled event will be retained same for 2021 and also if any advance paid for the same will be carried forwarded for 2021.

“It truly breaks our heart to cancel this year’s event. This is the first time such a decision has been taken in the interest of all farmers, equipment manufacturers, animal health companies, feed mills and poultry professionals, exhibition visitors, Knowledge Day delegates,” said Mr. P. Chakradhar Rao, President of IPEMA (Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association). “We promise you the 14th edition next year will be bigger, better”
